The organization is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following positions:


Social Media Intern

Saving Mothers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide by providing maternal health care and education to women and their health care providers.

The organization is expanding quickly and hopes to increase its social media presence.We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to help with social media strategy, blogging and updating our various media outlets (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.).

Responsibilities:

- The intern will work 5-7 hours per week
- Write at least 1 blog post a day Monday through Friday
- Tweet at least 3 top maternal health stories in the news per day
- Work with the public relations committee to create social media strategy
- Update Saving Mothers' media outlets (i.e. Facebook page) when necessary
- Help create and execute various media campaigns

Qualifications:

- Current/recent journalism school students have an advantage
- Strong writing background
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, collaborative, dedicated, and responsive by email/phone
- Social media management and/or nonprofit experience is a plus
- Prefer candidates who are familiar with iMovie, Final Cut Pro, HTML, PHP, and Java

Campaign Manager

Saving Mothers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide by providing maternal health care and education to women and their health care providers.

The organization is expanding quickly and leads various campaigns to raise awareness about global women’s health (i.e. Mother’s Day Campaign, etc.) We are looking for an enthusiastic campaign manager to help with creating and implementing our various campaigns as well as developing our campaign strategy for future campaigns.

Responsibilities:

- The intern will work 5-7 hours per week
- Work with the public relations committee to create effective campaign strategies
- Help recruit interested parties to join our cause and retain their support
- Oversee the expansion of our organization’s campaign messages

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, collaborative dedicated and responsive by email/phone
- Campaign management and/or nonprofit experience is a plus
- Prefer candidates who have experience with social media as well as traditional campaign methods
