Knitting Hats & Blankets

There are so many ways to make a contribution to our cause.

Making knitted hats and blankets is great way to engage a group of older adults and teach them a new skill. This activity is also a great fit for elementary and middle school students who can pick up a new skill easily!

Knitted hats become components of our Safe Birth Kit and baby blankets are donated to those in need.

Photographed here is Dr. Shirazian informing Knitty City group members about the safe birth kits that we developed. Basic supplies are included in these kits to make sure that women can have a clean and safe delivery. These kits contain a little bottle of Purell, gloves, bar of soap, clean mat, cord clamps, baby blanket and a knitted baby hat. As a knitting community, Knitty City can help out and knit these hats for the safe birth kits!
