Volunteer Opportunities
Our efforts depend on the support of our partners: Medical Students, Medical Providers, and College Students
Medical Students & Graduates
Medical School/Residency Electives
Looking to learn more about global health work? We have opportunities for medical students and residents to participate in global health work at our Kenya and Guatemala sites.
Saving Mothers has numerous opportunities for health care providers who would like to volunteer their services at international sites. We are looking for doctors with expertise in women’s global health, gynecological and urological surgery, anesthesia, high-risk obstetrics, and maternal and fetal medicine. If interested in volunteering below is a link to our volunteer participation form. Please fill it out and send it back along with the additional documents requested to information@savingmothers.org!
Follow the link below if you have any questions about how you might like to get involved!
College students with a strong interest in medicine and are passionate about women’s health in limited-resource settings can join us in our mission to eradicate preventable maternal deaths.
Student chapters currently affiliated with Saving Mothers conduct projects to raise awareness about inequalities in maternal health, raise funds to support our mission, and educate themselves and others about the current state of global women’s health. These student groups act as a catalyst for change and are a vital part of engaging new allies in our work. Current student chapters include Brown University, Seton Hall University, Barnard/Columbia and Sophie Davis Medical School at CUNY.
Saving Mothers has hybrid internship opportunities each summer and academic year in NYC.
These internships provide an opportunity for undergraduate or medical students to learn about all aspects of our organization, global and local community health, and gain valuable non-profit experience. Spanish fluency a plus.
